National Take a Kid Mountain Biking Day and BMSTC Event
Join Us to Celebrate National “Take a Kid Mountain Biking Day: Saturday October 4, 2008
Where:
Owsley Canyon Trailhead, Near Grande Ronde Bowmen Range. Take Blackhawk Trail to the Owsley Canyon Road, and turn North; go about 2 miles to the first “T”; turn right and go about 300 ft to the parking area.
What:
1. Kids Mountain Bike/BMX Ride—prizes for all ! All kids age 10 and under are welcome. Ride Starts at 11:30 AM Sharp; Registration begins at 11:00 AM (mandatory). Ride tailored to the participants.
2. Mountain Bike Race or Fun Ride—all abilities and ages (min. 12 mile loop, shorter options available) registration begins at 9:00 AM (mandatory). Race/Ride starts at 10:00 AM Sharp ! Rain or Shine.
3. Trail Run/Race—all abilities and ages—runs concurrent with Mountain Bike Race/Ride; Registration begins at 9:00 AM (mandatory); Race/Run Starts at 10:00 AM Sharp ! Rain or Shine…
Families, individuals—all are welcome.
Complimentary Barbeque at 1:00 PM-donations appreciated and go towards trail maintenance in the area.
