Mountain Bike Race, Trail Run, Fun Run/Ride
Saturday June 26, 2010

 

Where: Owsley Canyon Trailhead, Mt Emily Recreation Area
Registration: 9:00 AM
Race: 10:00 AM Sharp!
Fun Ride or Run: 10:30 AM
Barbeque: 1:00 PM with refreshments from Mt Emily Alehous

Mt Bike Race format (singletrack trails) -- 8 mile loop
Expert ~ Complete as many laps as possible within 3 hours
Sport ~ Complete as many laps as possible within 2 hours
all other ~ Complete as many laps as possible within 1 hour
Runners -- ~ Complete as many laps as possible within 2 hours
Families -- all abilities welcome! Kids loop too!

All proceeds will go towards maintenance and construction of singletrack trails within the Mt Emily Recreation Area.

Registration Fees: Includes lunch. Non-BMSTC members $25; BMSTC members $15; Under 18 or college students $15. Prizes will be awarded and we will “crown” the Mt Emily Madness Mt Biking Queen and King for 2010. Also awards for the ugliest outfits (bikers and runners) and oldest mountain bike.

Directions to Owsley Canyon Trailhead: From Adams Ave in La Grande (downtown)Take Spruce Street north past
Riverside Park. Turn left on Blackhawk Trail, go ¼ mile then turn right on Owsley Canyon Rd. Go about 2 miles to the
“T”, and turn right (east). Go uphill about 200 yards and trailhead is on your right.
